Esta clase de afro-colombiano cuenta con chispas de contemporáneo e inspiración de libertad. Encontraras inexplicables cambios en la dirección, ritmo y velocidad mientras practicas diferentes movimientos en cada parte de tu cuerpo, inspirados por la influencia de la cultura africana en Colombia.

Un poco de mi historia

Julio Martínez 

Es un colombiano, radicado en Denver Colorado desde el 2012, comenzó en la danza desde los 10 años participando en el Ballet Nacional de Colombia y su formación continuó con el bailarín y coreógrafo Romir Echeverry, (música folclórica colombiana) por 6 años, en su formación también encontramos:

Ø  El Ballet Tierra Colombiana, (ballet y folclor colombiano)

Ø  El grupo Herencia Viva (Afro-colombianidad)

Ø  El Centro Cultural Bacata de Funza (formación en jazz, clásico y contemporáneo)

Ø  La Academia de salsa colombiana estilo caleño, Alma Latina y Salsa Na´ma.

De igual forma su formación artística paralelamente se desarrolló en La Academia de Actuación Barajas y posteriormente en el Teatro Barraca donde desarrollo el amor por la actuación. Su desarrollo profesional comenzó a corta edad igualmente, fue instructor en múltiples campamentos de verano en Estados Unidos y en el Instituto Colombiano de Aprendizaje INCAP, Bogotá Colombia posteriormente creo la fundación artística Kairos Pasión dedicada a investigar, ensayar y exponer diferentes ritmos del folclor Colombiano, bailes de salón y bailes con proyección internacional. Con su compañía fue ganador en simultáneas ocasiones del premio de creación coreográfica otorgado por la Alcaldía Local de Chapinero y la Alcaldía Mayor de Bogotá, e invitado a participar en múltiples festivales a nivel Colombia.

Cuando Julio no está bailando, creando o moviéndose al ritmo de la música, está ejerciendo su carrera profesional como comunicador social, realizando algún trabajo de periodismo, escribiendo historias o desarrollando eventos. Siempre otorgando a la comunidad algo en respuesta a todas las bendiciones recibidas.

A little something about me

Julio Martinez

Was born in Colombia, and two years ago he settled in Denver Colorado, he started dancing when he was 10 years old on the National Ballet of Colombia. He also studied with the well-known choreographer and dancer Romir Echeverry in his artistic dance group for 6 years, along with these companies he danced with:

Ø  Tierra Colombiana Ballet (Ballet and Colombian folk)

Ø  Herencia Viva dance group (Afro-Colombian dance)

Ø  Bacata Cultural Center (Jazz, Contemporary and classic training group)

Ø  Alma Latina and Salsa Na’ma (Colombian style salsa)

At the same time Julio join the Barajas Academy Theater and The Barraca Theater where he fell in love of the art of acting. His professional teaching skills develop at a young age working as an instructor at summer camps and in the Colombian Institute of Learning INCAP, he also created the Artistic foundation Kairos Pasion, dedicated to exploring, learning and performing multiples rhymes of the Colombian Folk dance, ballroom dancing and international dances, Julio and his dance company won two different choreography awards from the Local and Mayor Office in Bogotá, Colombia and were invited to perform at several national festivals.

When Julio is not dancing, choreographing or moving to the beat of the music, he works in journalism, as a Social Communicator he constantly writes stories, develops events or works in public relations. Always giving the community something in response to all the blessings he has received.
